Saving Me eBook Elva Leon Reviews
It's one of the best memoirs, and growing up in the same type of environment and situation even is so relatable. Having Ms. Leon as an elementary teacher she was the greaest and i would of never imagined she'd gone through all she did.
Saving me is a must read! It is evident that Elva writes from her heart as she shares her life story! Her stories are filled with rich details, and as I read I did not want to stop reading! Elva's story is a true example of perseverance in the face of adversity!
This book was amazing! It is definitely an example of perseverance through adversity. There's a famous quote that reads, "The same boiling water that softens the potato hardens the egg. It’s about what you’re made of, not the circumstances." -Anonymous. Ms. Leon is a living testimony. This is a great book! I cannot wait for the sequel. A must read!!
This was a great read. I could not put the book down once I started reading. It was amazing to read that someone could go through so much and still become the person that she has become today. An inspirational story for anyone to read.
Excellent story with very vivid details. She is an excellent writer and truly poured her heart and soul in to this book. I really felt all the emotions that she went through as a child and all I wanted to do was go and scoop her up and help her. It really made me examine myself as a teacher and reminded me that as teachers we are our students advocates. We need to take the time to truly investigate when we have a student who appears neglected and/or unhappy. I can't wait for the sequel!
Love this book. Her story is full of colors. This author is Great storyteller. I recommend this book if you want to find strength in difficult time.

Through your descriptive details, I was able to put myself literally in your life and environment while you were enduring your hardships and living conditions. At times, your story made me sad, happy, proud of your successes and it brought a tear to my eye when you received your high school diploma. I am very glad I had the opportunity to read your book.
